7 steel strings in a row, tone sequence d’-e’-g’-a’-h/b’-d”-e”.
Maple wood, 46.5 x 23 x 5 cm
Tuning key and manual included.

The Choroi children’s harp (7 strings) is tuned to the tones d – e – g – a – b – d – e (from the lowest to the highest string).

This tuning forms a pentatonic scale – a special sequence of tones often used in Waldorf pedagogy. Within it you can also recognize the natural “fifth sequence” (g – d – a – e – b), sometimes called fifth tuning.

Because of this pentatonic tuning, any melody played on the harp will sound harmonious and pleasant, even if the child simply runs their hand across the strings. Can be given to children from age five and as their first stringed instrument.

Its soft and open tone stimulates listening and free music making in young children.

The Children’s Harp is made from one piece of tone wood, and a conscious decision was made not to take a closed resonating body.
