Painting

In Waldorf education, painting means experiencing colour. Both kindergartens and schools use the wet-on-wet watercolour technique: the paper is dampened, allowing the colours to blend freely. Children work with the three primary colours and discover for themselves how green, orange or violet emerge. In the older classes, forms and figures gradually grow out of the fields of colour. Our range includes Stockmar watercolours and Artemis plant pigment pastes for those who wish to paint with natural colourants. Here you will also find paper suitable for wet-on-wet watercolour painting, quality brushes, painting boards and jars for preparing paints — for painting in Waldorf kindergartens, schools and at home.
