The Music section has instruments for kindergarten, school and therapy: Choroi pentatonic and diatonic flutes, lyres and children's harps, Auris glockenspiels and lyres, percussion, and Mollenhauer recorders. They are chosen by music teachers in Waldorf schools, kindergarten teachers, music therapists and families.
In Waldorf education, a young child first hears the pentatonic world of sound, where the notes create no tension and a melody does not have to end in a set place. That is why the pentatonic flute and the lyre are played in kindergarten and the first classes, and diatonic instruments come later. Wooden and metal instruments have a warm, living tone that invites listening.
The sub-categories are Wind instruments, String Instruments and Percussion Instruments.
