STOCKMAR opaque watercolours are wonderfully versatile. They are ideal for painting rich, solid colour areas as well as for detailed, precise work with a fine brush. You can apply them in layered techniques, build up depth with multiple coats, or create softer watercolour effects depending on how much water you use.

The paints are available in a 12-colour set that includes opaque white, a brush, and a mixing palette. They can also be purchased as individual colour refills in pans. These refill pans make it easy to replace frequently used colours in your 12-colour set — a practical and environmentally friendly solution.

Accessories are available separately and are also included in our “painting and drawing” gift sets, which combine coloured pencils, an opaque paint box, and a drawing pad.

Opaque paints differ from transparent watercolours. As the name suggests, opaque colours do not allow light to pass through, resulting in a solid, covering finish. Black and white are naturally fully opaque, and mixing them with other colours increases their covering power. Adding STOCKMAR Opaque White to any colour will make it more opaque and enhance its coverage.
