250 gsm card with a glossy coloured coating on one side, suitable for encaustic painting with wax blocks, an encaustic iron and other heating tools.
The specially manufactured surface does not absorb wax, allowing it to be remelted and reshaped to create new patterns and effects. The different card colours offer different interactions with the wax colours. Pastel and metallic colours stand out particularly well against black card.
Care: use light pressure. The coloured surfaces are more sensitive to hard pressure than white encaustic card.
