Brushes

Brushes has Mercurius brushes for watercolour and painting: flat and round brushes in cow hair, polecat hair, boar bristle and synthetic fibres, in a range of sizes. They are chosen by Waldorf schools and kindergartens buying brushes for a whole class, and by parents who paint with their children at home.

For the wet-on-wet technique, Waldorf schools use a broad brush, usually of natural hair, that holds plenty of water and paint. With it a child covers large areas of colour and does not get lost in small details. One broad brush is enough in the first classes, while older pupils also find a fine round brush useful.
