Percussion Instruments

The Percussion Instruments section has instruments by Choroi and Auris: glockenspiels, xylophone blocks, tubular bells, brass tone pipes, triangles, drums and mallets. Many are pentatonic with only a few notes, so they suit kindergarten and the first classes. Waldorf schools, kindergartens and music therapists choose them.

In Waldorf education, music is listened to first and played only afterwards. A glockenspiel with three or five notes lets a child play without mistakes and hear how each note rings out. Single tone blocks and pipes suit playing together, where each child looks after one note and waits for their turn. That is how a class learns to listen to one another.

In the sub-categories you will find Glockenspiels, Xylophone Blocks, Tubular Bells and Mallets.
