String Instruments

String Instruments has Choroi and Auris lyres, children's harps and accessories, including replacement string sets. There are pentatonic and diatonic instruments with 7, 12 or more strings. Waldorf kindergartens and schools choose them, as do music therapists and parents who make music with their children at home.

In Waldorf education, the pentatonic lyre or children's harp is one of the first instruments a child hears and plays. In the pentatonic scale the notes sound well together in any order, so a child can play freely. A lyre with a wooden body sounds soft and long, and teachers also use it through the day to settle the class or lead into a story.

In the sub-categories you will find Lyres, Harps and Accessories.
